During outdoor gross motor play, the preschool and one of our kindergarten programs use the playground located directly in front of the Annex building, while our other kindergarten programs use the school's kindergarten playground. These playgrounds includes a wooden play structures, a rock climbing wall, sandboxes, paved pathways as well as grass areas.
Both playgrounds are inspected quarterly by the Toronto District School Board (TDSB), as well as annually by a third-party agency, as per current legislation. A visual inspection is also conducted by staff prior to every use of the playground facilities.
Our school-age children engage in outdoor gross motor play in the field which is shared with Wilkinson Junior Public School. Combined with their incredible imagination, the children have countless play opportunities with scooters, sports equipment, balancing beams, dramatic kits and so much more.
The children also have access to the ball hockey court located adjacent to the play field, which allows them to engage in many cooperative group activities as well as two baseball diamonds.
